shetland sheep for sale
This year’s Shetland lambs are the product of several goals: to breed for 1) lambs with gray fleece (Lewis), 2) for flashy and possibly caped flecket lambs (Oiseval), and 3) for lambs with a primarily white fleece (Holm). In addition, because I had so many wonderful rams with beautiful fleece and wide horns that I couldn’t bear to wether, I wanted to see what they could do. The result is a crop of wonderful lambs with a range of colors and fleece types.

She was a surprise baby, born very early as the result of an unplanned tryst, and proved to be a very sturdy little girl. Must carry moorit. A moorit sponget ram twin. Brother of Lewis, and with an equally amazing face.. His fleece is very interesting – underneath the moorit tips, it is dark gray mixed with dark brown, not like the typical musket. He probably carries the modifier from heis sire. His mother had this coloration pattern as a lamb as well, and her morrit lambs also have all had this patterning. His mature fleece has retained the banding (oatmeal tips, gray/brown under, soft and wavy. Nice wide horns. Born 4/16/12, weighing 6 lb 6 oz.
